a5c7b9f00b When a group of hard-working guys find out they've fallen victim to their wealthy employer's Ponzi scheme, they conspire to rob his high-rise residence. Josh Kovaks is the manager of a high-rise condominium in New York. He is close to all the tenants, especially financier Arthur Shaw. One day Shaw is arrested by the FBI for fraud. Josh thinks it's a misunderstanding that can be resolved, but later he learns that the employees' pension fund - which he asked Shaw to handle - is gone. When one of the employees tries to kill himself, Josh's views of Shaw change. He goes to see him and loses his temper, and his job. The FBI agent in charge tells him that Shaw might walk, and recovering the pension fund is unlikely. She tells him that it's been rumored that Shaw has $20 million lying around if he needs it in a hurry. Josh thinks he knows where it is, so with two other fired employees and an evicted tenant, they set out to get into Shaw's penthouse to get the money. But they realize they need the assistance of someone who knows how to steal, so Josh asks an old acquaintance named Slide who he knows is a thief to help them. I am 20 minutes into this movie and it has passed the 20 min test. I usually loathe Ben Stiller in anything but he is watchable in this.I think he is much bettera quasi serious actor than a comic one - there is something unlikable about him in out and out comic parts. I expect the movie to be OK because Alan Alda is in it and he rarely does rubbish movies. Eddie Murphy, too , is one of my least favourite movie stars - I still have not forgiven Coming to America! Tower Heist promises to be a lightweight but enjoyable caper movie. One of my favourite genres, let's hope that it lives up to its promise. I recorded it just to see how awful it was and up to now it has proved to be anything but. It is always a pleasant surprise when something you expect to hate turns out to be entertaining. The best way to describe 'Tower Heist' would be by calling it - Time-Pass! Its strictly a one-time watch, that delivers an interesting premise & impressive performances working on its advantage.

'Tower Heist' Synopsis: When a group of hard working guys find out they've fallen victim to a wealthy business man's Ponzi scheme, they conspire to rob his high-rise residence.

'Tower Heist' engages at most parts. The first-hour is relatively slow-paced, but the second-hour, is very interesting. Ted Griffin & Jeff Nathanson's Screenplay works, but the first-hour could've been faster. Brett Ratner's Direction is note-worthy. Cinematography is lavish. Editing is fair.

Performance-Wise: Ben Stiller is excellent. Eddie Murphy is in command after a long time. The veteran is superb. Casey Affleck & Matthew Broderick are in terrific form. Michael Peña is very sincere. Téa Leoni is up-to the mark. Alan Alda is flawless, always. Gabourey Sidibe is decent. Judd Hirsch leaves a mark.

On the whole, 'Tower Heist' does entertain. Tower Heist is the cinematic version of a Trump property: overblinged, eye-catching, and essentially tacky. A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from any actual profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. The Ponzi scheme usually entices new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. Perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to keep the scheme going. The system is destined to collapse because the earnings, if any, are less than the payments to investors. Usually, the scheme is interrupted by legal authorities before it collapses because a Ponzi scheme is suspected or because the promoter is selling unregistered securities. As more investors become involved, the likelihood of the scheme coming to the attention of authorities increases. The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi who became notorious for using the technique in 1920. Ponzi did not invent the scheme (for example, Charles Dickens's 1857 novel Little Dorrit described such a scheme) but his operation took in so much money that it was the first to become known throughout the United States. Ponzi's original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps; however, he soon diverted investors' money to make payments to earlier investors and himself. iBoy in tamil pdf downloadUberstein - Operation Wunderwaffe full movie hd 1080pEpisode 1.31 movie in tamil dubbed downloadLegends of Tomorrow tamil dubbed movie free downloadHaircraft in Space full movie 720p downloadDerelict movie hindi free downloadOperation Dumbo Drop full movie download in hindiAustin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me 720p moviesVampire Killers full movie in hindi free download hd 1080pRambo: First Blood Part II full movie free download
